“Larval situation of the poem”

 

In this post, I wanted to share my writing experience with readers. Writing, like everything, is undergoing a permanent transformation. Whether in relation to the content itself, the relationship of the writer to the written, the relationship of the reader to the text… to the best books, we tend to return. And the best books are often the ones that touch us somehow. Poetry herself has a touch. Certain intervention that is not necessarily an injury. When poetry emerges, is written and writes herself, it is always a full research. I tried to write a commentary or interpretation of my own poetry. But instead of interpretation, more and more poetry emerged…

Maybe it doesn’t matter.

Sometimes I let the sun fall asleep
and traces of the day twinkle.
There is a difference between secret
and absence.

For me, poetry is music whose face is language.

A language saw how poetry when she sleeps without having to be in love with her.

He saw her on his knees. He saw her when she had triumphed against everyone, and he was still here, though absent in the silent moment from which she would be born.

The relationship of language to poetry is comparable to a physician’s view of a person strapped to a bed; work that feels its role as a mediator between indifference and salvation.

In the end, it is a language that knows about himself and that willingly transcends melodicity.

Finally, the voice, the seductive sound and the sound of seduction, is more than a game of meanings, a field of tension or the power of difference. The word, if it is formed at all, has no strength or assertion or information, it is weak.

Revolt as a sovereign gesture standing on the border of musical, linguistic, physical and political expression; revolt is what provokes poetry and what poetry becomes.

“You are perfect,” someone would tell the poet.

“Me? No. I am mortal,” she would answer,” but a work, work is… “

Anna Luňáková  (*1993)
Studied philosophy at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague, and currently is a PhD. student engaged in romance literature. So far, she has published two books, the novel Three (2020) and the collection of poems I just lose my name (2020). She also translates from French (Letter to D., 2021) and Portuguese. She creates authorial performances, i.e. Bohemia, performed in 2018 in Paris, Elevation 2018 in Casablanca, Přeslice 2019 in Setúbal or Odposlech 2020 in Malovice. The last mentioned, Odposlech, was created under the newly emerging collective HERONS VECTOR, of which she is a co-founder, together with Jakub Štourač and Ondřej Macl. She is also the co-founder of the open platform Nothing is a problem here, which organizes authorial readings, events and cabaret.
